This campground has 365 different sites, and has 5 pet-friendly yurts to stay in. From October to April you can take your ATVs out directly from one of the campgrounds to the dunes, and you can walk out to them directly as well from a number of areas in the park.

The yurt sites we stayed in were close to a restroom with showers, and also separate enough from each other to feel like you have your own space. We were there in January, so the site itself was a bit flooded after one of the very rainy nights, but the driveway was high enough that we didn't have to wade when walking out to our cars or the bathroom.

The yurts get pretty cold at night in the winter, and the cadet heater didn't really keep up, so bring lots of warm clothes and bedding if you're not camping in the summer. Callie slept in the sleeping bag with me on this trip, and we were still pretty chilly.

PROS

Spacious Sites At least in the yurt areas, you're not super packed in.

Various Walks There are a number of different areas you can walk around in this park.

Close to Florence While not walkable, you are a short drive into town if you need things

WATCH OUT

Busy This place is SO busy in the summertime, and with lots of ATV traffic. Lots of people usually means lots of dogs and kids, so really not the best campground for summertime chilling if your dog is antsy.

Noisy You can hear the ATVs on the dunes from the park, but the noise is definitely worse in the summertime, since there are more ATVs out.

Not Close To The Beach You are definitely in the middle of the dunes in this park. If you're looking for quick easy beach access, this is not it.
